NY Empire FC is proud to announce Jorge Gonzalez as the Head Coach of the ISX Boys 2010 team, which is set to represent the club on the international stage at the prestigious Donosti Cup in San Sebastián, Spain, in July 2026.
With over a decade of experience in youth and men’s soccer, Jorge brings a dynamic and passionate approach to coaching, placing emphasis on development, leadership, and competitive excellence.

A Proven Leader with Deep Coaching Roots
Jorge Gonzalez has been a fixture in the youth soccer community for more than 11 years, known for his high-energy coaching style and deep commitment to player growth. Currently coaching with East Coast, Jorge leads five teams across the boys’ side—2016, 2015, 2010, 2008, and the Men’s UPSL Premier squad—offering a unique perspective that bridges youth development and the adult game.

“After stepping away from playing competitively, I found a new passion in helping players evolve both on and off the field,” said Gonzalez. “Coaching allows me to share my love for the game while helping young athletes find their confidence and identity.”

Vision for the ISX 2010 Team
In his new role with NY Empire ISX, Jorge will guide a talented group of 2010-born players as they prepare for the international spotlight at the Donosti Cup, one of the world’s most respected youth tournaments. His focus will be on building a cohesive, hard-working team capable of competing against top talent from around the globe.
“I wanted to be part of the NY Empire staff because of their clear vision for player development and their commitment to providing high-level experiences like the Donosti Cup,” Jorge explained. “I’m looking for players who are coachable, hungry to improve, and willing to compete with intensity and heart every time they step on the field.”

Preparing for Spain
The ISX Boys 2010 team will begin preparations this fall, with tryouts being held in September 2025. The squad will go through a comprehensive training plan leading up to Spain, including local friendlies and tournament play to prepare for the fast-paced, high-quality matches they’ll face in Europe.
“Spain offers a completely different type of game. It's fast, technical, and tactically sharp. We want to build a team that can not only compete but thrive in that environment,” Gonzalez added.
